July 2005 Trip to Seattle

Saturday 7/2
We arrived at Kathy's and were greeted, as usual, by their
dual note automated doorbells - Randy and Bandit.  Dinner
that evening was at Ted and Joyce's.
Sunday 7/3
Isn't she cute?  Well, of course!
We went to see Mark and Denise and new baby Jordan Maribel.  Amazingly quiet, and already was tracking people with her eyes.  Not bad for less than a week old!
Monday 7/4
The annual family picnic.  We picked up Bonnie's High school friend Sidney (who recently moved near Bremerton) to join us.  Nick brought his girfriend Andrea (yup, that's mom Kathy with them).  We were treated to a fly-over of the B-17.  And as usual, there was lots of food and conversation.
Tuesday 7/5
Went north to Lummi Island via the cute little Whatcom County ferry (car and driver $4 round trip, $1 per passenger!) to visit Malcom and Bobbie.  They had their grandson Dane (Jonathan and Diana's son) visiting.  Fresh caught prawns, fresh picked peas, and fresh picked raspberries for lunch - ah, life is good!

Wednesday 7/6
A quiet day.  We went shopping and stopped in (unannounced, of course) to Don's, and later had a visit from long time friend Tom.  Then back to Kathy's where Bonnie prepared dinner for the family since Frank and Kathy were working two jobs that day.  Talk about two exhausted people.
Thursday 7/7
And now our "dance card" began to fill.  We had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory with Jan and Dave (Peggy's nephew).

And then in the evening, back north to Izumi's for dinner with Nick, Christina, Don Renee and Olivia.  And here we heard words that I never imagined occured - Nick saying "I'm full".

Friday 7/8
We went over to Magnolia to pick up Bettianne and Amy to go to Aunt Helen's in Kingston.  Since it was raining, we "bought the ferry" and drove rather than going as walk-ons.  We were joined by cousins Bill, Suzanne, Nancy, Pat and Kaaren.  As always, the spread was fantastic.

That evening, just to make sure that we didn't starve, we went out to dinner with Mark and Denise and Denise's family.  And again, baby Jordan was quiet all evening.

Saturday 7/9
Almost time to go home, but first a trip to Lance and Pam's.  It will be Allison's birthday on Monday, so presents are in order.  A bite of lunch, a little shopping (a few items to start installing the air conditioner that Lance was given), and all of a sudden, its time to head for the airport.  Wow, what a week!
