To kick off July, our train club sponsored a float in the Boulder City 4th of July parade. I had the idea to recreate a scene from the building of Hoover Dam when the Union Pacific had a streamliner train run through a section of penstock pipe to illustrate the size of the pipe. So I borrowed one of the locomotives from Opportunity Village and created the float. Since Bonnie and I were in Seattle for the 4th, several members of the club took the float to the parade.
